Theodore Roosevelt High School had the highest enrollment among Portage County schools, welcoming 1,056 students during the 2022-23 school year, according to reports from the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.2% of them were girls, and 49.8% were boys.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 74% of Theodore Roosevelt High School's total enrollment.

Among the 44 schools in Portage County, Bio-Med Science Academy STEM School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 995 students, while Aurora High School welcomed 944 students to be ranked third in the 2022-23 school year.

Theodore Roosevelt High School is part of Kent City, which generally encompasses schools within Portage County, with its main office in Kent.

In the previous school year, Theodore Roosevelt High School still had the highest number of students among Portage County schools.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. This marks an improvement for the state, especially compared to 2016, when the ratio reached its decade-high at 16.1 students per teacher.
